Mobile communication platform

Full control of customer communication

Mobile Communication Platform (MCP) is a proven platform to create solutions for situation-based or personally-based automatic or manual message management.

MCP is a generic platform that can be applied to most needs related to communication with customers or other parties. Messages can be automatically generated from activities, such as ERP systems, CRM systems, booking systems, or ordering systems. They can also be created manually for things such as customer service, to be sent to individuals or groups.

Complete overview
Through a portal, you get a complete overview of all the messages, both historical and current. You can always go in and manually manage a dialogue with a specific customer, a group of customers, or all customers.

Examples of processes that can be managed by Sigma's MCP:

SMP Meetings is an iPad solution that gathers all your meeting documents digitally at one and the same place. When a meeting is created, all information related to the meeting is automatically sent out to the participants' iPads. Sensitive information that would otherwise have been printed out and physically administered is now distributed digitally – securely and easily accessible.

Added value, before, during and after meetings
Once the participants have downloaded the documents to their iPads, they can read the material at their convenience, with or without a connection to the Internet. The application works regardless. They can use the app for making personal comments in the documents, and during meetings the group can interact with the material by publishing their comments. When a meeting comes to a close, all information is stored in the app, and when it’s time to follow up the details, the participants just open the meeting folder to access the documents and comments.

SMHI

SMHI weather app

Sigma administers and further develops SMHI's (Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute) weather app for iPhone and Android. For Android, the app also has an accompanying widget.

In the app, users can either search by location or use automatic positioning to view the forecast for the weather at their current location. The current weather conditions are presented, as well as the forecast for the coming hours, divided into four time periods, with clear and logical images representing different kinds of weather.

Users can even view a ten-day forecast and see a detailed forecast for each day.

The app also shows weather warnings and users can view radar images of Sweden and the rest of the Nordic region.

Wihlborgs

Mobile service order management

On behalf of Wihlborgs (the leading property company in the Öresund region), Sigma has developed mobile integration for Wihlborgs property administrators. All remodeling and new construction is carried out with the assistance of contractors. Wihlborgs works with about different 1,100 contractors. The purpose of integration was to simplify and better organize the orders that are sent to the contractors. The reasons for this are many, but mainly to:

- Gain better control over the number of orders placed
- Gain better control over the right contractors receiving the right orders
- Give contractors the opportunity to confirm placed orders
- Gain better control over who is responsible for project work environments

Wihlborgs chose a mobile solution so as to be able to immediately place orders on-site and reduce administration in the form of duplication of work. An important requirement was to be able to use the solution offline. Not all job sites have 3G/4G/WiFi coverage, such as sites in basements/culverts and so forth. Depending on the user, only the contractors that are linked to the region the user works in are listed. In other words, users in Helsingborg only see the contractors who have valid agreements for work in the Helsingborg region. Besides the actual orders, the users can also attach pictures to the orders.

A web portal has been developed for the contractors and Wihlborgs' administrators. The administrators can view orders, administer users and follow up orders for each property. The contactors can approve or decline orders. They can naturally also view orders and the pictures linked to them. This gives smaller contractors the capability to maintain control over their orders from Wihlborgs.

The mobile app has been developed for iOS and Android. The web portal and all integrations have been developed in .NET C#.

Tyréns

Flexible community builder

Tyréns AB is one of Sweden's leading consulting companies in the urban planning, infrastructure, construction, and property sectors. With Sigma's help, Tyréns has introduced a new communications platform built on Microsoft Lync.

Sigma designed, implemented, and rolled out a solution that makes it easier to work flexibly, for example, by attending web meetings and conference calls wherever you are; this is important in an organization with offices in 20 locations and assignments in many more. The new platform also makes it easier to search and find employees in the organization with features like skill searching and presence management.

Liseberg

Experiences set in the system

Liseberg in Gothenburg is the Nordic's largest amusement park. The Liseberg Group comprises a range of companies and businesses - everything from the theme park to hotels, holiday villages and campsites, restaurants, the show venue Rondo, and the Liseberg Theatre (Lisebergsteatern).

A new mobile platform now helps visitors to maximize their experience at Liseberg. In spring 2011, Sigma developed a new mobile web platform that allows visitors to plan their visit, find their location in the park based on their own position, and check the stage program, among other things.

Sigma manages and continuously develops two other IT systems for Liseberg: the external information on the internet and Liseberg Group's e-commerce solutions on the internet.

TeliaSonera

Prized global mobile platform for TeliaSonera

Sigma has a long-term undertaking with TeliaSonera in the area of portal development. This work has been for www.telia.se, but Sigma also participated in the development of a common platform for all of TeliaSonera’s mobile users.

Thanks to the mobile solution, Telia reduced administration and centralized management on a single platform. Previously, each country had its own site, which meant that there were different solutions in ten countries operating on fi ve platforms. The new solution resulted in a global platform and meant that eight of ten portals now operate on the same platform. The new solution is based on a central Linux platform with an Oracle database. The software consists of third-party products that Sigma has enhanced and adapted to provide an optimal solution.

Prize-winning mobile solution
SurfPort is TeliaSonera’s mobile platform that guides customers on the mobile Internet. The Swedish version (mobil.teliasurfport. se) has won several prizes and was presented with the Mobile Portal of the Year 2006 award, by readers of the magazine Mobil. Sigma participated in driving the software development for SurfPort, which is now in use in seven countries and exceeded the one million users mark in the summer of 2006.

Fritidsresor

Effective information during the ash cloud

Thanks to a communication solution from Cypoint, which Sigma acquired in 2010, TUI Nordic/Fritidsresor could quickly reach out to its travellers via SMS when the ash cloud from the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajökull led to cancelled air traffic in many places in Europe. In a crisis situation like this, major demands are placed on the information flow from travel companies to travellers.

In total, 15,000 travellers were continuously informed via the mobile service, Guide Online, which is based on a platform with Ericsson’s IPX technology. Guide Online has many usage areas and allows people to communicate proactively with individual customers or entire groups regardless of where in the world they are located.
