    Uppsalahem chooses Office 365 for increased productivity

    The apartment rental company Uppsalahem has decided to implement Office 365 including ADFS federation solution. Sigma has got the assignment to migrate and replace Uppsalahem’s current platform Notes and Sametime with Exchange Online and Lync Online.

    Following a pre-study in spring 2012 conducted by Sigma Uppsalahem now has assigned Sigma to migrate Uppsalahem’s current platform, Notes and Sametime, to Exchange Online and Lync Online, Microsoft’s cloud services for increased business productivity which include email, chat, video conferencing and collaboration.

    "Uppsalahem has initiated a strategic roadmap and vision outlining how we can support our operation in the most efficient way, today and in the future. Implementing Office 365 as a platform for internal and external communication and collaboration is in line with our strategy and vision ", says Niclas Hedenskog, IT Manager at Uppsalahem.

    Uppsalahem is Uppsala’s leading apartment rental company, which owns and maintains about 15,500 homes. Today, Uppsalahem is the second largest builder of rental apartments in Sweden - a total of over 500 new homes are produced each year.

    Mobile service order management

    On behalf of Wihlborgs (the leading property company in the Öresund region), Sigma has developed mobile integration for Wihlborgs property administrators. All remodeling and new construction is carried out with the assistance of contractors. Wihlborgs works with about different 1,100 contractors. The purpose of integration was to simplify and better organize the orders that are sent to the contractors. The reasons for this are many, but mainly to:

    - Gain better control over the number of orders placed
    - Gain better control over the right contractors receiving the right orders
    - Give contractors the opportunity to confirm placed orders
    - Gain better control over who is responsible for project work environments

    Wihlborgs chose a mobile solution so as to be able to immediately place orders on-site and reduce administration in the form of duplication of work. An important requirement was to be able to use the solution offline. Not all job sites have 3G/4G/WiFi coverage, such as sites in basements/culverts and so forth. Depending on the user, only the contractors that are linked to the region the user works in are listed. In other words, users in Helsingborg only see the contractors who have valid agreements for work in the Helsingborg region. Besides the actual orders, the users can also attach pictures to the orders.

    A web portal has been developed for the contractors and Wihlborgs' administrators. The administrators can view orders, administer users and follow up orders for each property. The contactors can approve or decline orders. They can naturally also view orders and the pictures linked to them. This gives smaller contractors the capability to maintain control over their orders from Wihlborgs.

    The mobile app has been developed for iOS and Android. The web portal and all integrations have been developed in .NET C#.

  • World Match Racing Tour

    Tailwind for sailors

    World Match Racing Tour is one of the largest organizers of international sailing competitions, and since 2010 Sigma has been their digital communications partner. The first assignment was to develop a new website that would increase the company's visibility and become a gathering place for all who are interested in match racing.

    The new website offers things such as links to social media, internet television broadcasts from the races, results, and detailed statistics for both fans and skippers.

    Role-controlled information in G4S Cash Solutions' new intranet

    In spring 2011, Sigma developed G4S Cash Solutions' new intranet. The new intranet, which is based on SharePoint 2010, provides the operations in Sweden new opportunities to share information and collaborate.

    One feature the intranet will provide is the opportunity for displaying information based on an employee's role or geographic location.

    "G4S has had a great need for an intranet to meet the need for effective, qualitative, and comprehensive information distribution.
