Introducing (PET™) Design Theory; “Persuasion, Emotion and Trust”
We will cover the principles of Persuasion Design, or PET™ Theory, as Human Factors International defines the subject. We will look at how PET and Persuasion Design maps onto user behaviour and motivation and present ways in which the different PET techniques can be used to encourage users to engage with your online products and services.
Jamie Clouting is a Business Analyst & User Experience Consultant working for Sigma in the UK. He's passionate about good quality software and works alongside users and developers to capture requirements, research user behaviour and ensure the right solutions get implemented. His current job involves everything from user interviews and card sorting, to producing wireframes, interactive prototypes and full system specifications. Jamie is an active member of the International Institute of Business Analysis and his clients include the BBC, ITV, Mercuri International and InterContinental Hotels Group.
Chris Bush is the Head of User Experience for Sigma UK with over 10 years’ experience in interaction design, usability and accessibility. Chris helps our customers to design interfaces and systems that offer the best possible experience for end users. With a background in web and mobile design, standards compliant HTML and CSS, Chris ensures we produce creative, intuitive and accessible designs for websites, portals and other online information systems. Chris is a Certified Usability Analyst and his clients include National Geographic, BBC Canada, InterContinental Hotels Group, Citizens Advice and University of Brighton.
