Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Assignment description

We are looking for a senior-level Machine Learning Engineer to support a high-impact AI/ML initiative within a large-scale enterprise environment. This role focuses on developing scalable, production-ready ML solutions and infrastructure in a complex, data-intensive setting.

You will be part of a cross-functional, agile team working closely with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to drive innovation using advanced ML techniques and cloud technologies.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field – or equivalent hands-on experience

• 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineer roles

• Experience in forecasting, supply chain or similar high-impact domains is beneficial

• Strong engineering mindset with solid skills in:

  • DevOps and testing practices

  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles for ML systems

• Extensive programming experience, especially in Python (4+ years), including backend development

• Proven ability to deliver scalable software solutions deployed to production environments

• Hands-on experience with cloud-based ML development, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI

• MLOps proficiency: building ML and data pipelines, and deploying ML applications

• Experience with high-volume, heterogeneous data (batch and streaming)

• SQL and DBT development experience

• Familiarity with cloud storage solutions and data quality practices

• Cloud Certification: GCP Professional Machine Learning Engineer - Must be obtained no later than 1 month after project start if not already certified

Meriting

• Experience translating business needs into technical requirements

• Skilled in breaking down work into user stories and aligning with team objectives

• Familiar with stakeholder communication and agile collaboration

• Background in developing standardized, reusable ML components and frameworks

• Experience working within larger organizations on enterprise-level AI/ML initiatives
