JOB OVERVIEW
We seek skilled and passionate Windows Developer Infrastructure Specialists to join our team. In this role, you will develop, optimize, and support the Windows developer infrastructure, tools, and environments. You will focus on enhancing the language service, improving developer experiences, and providing specialized support for Windows development workflows.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enhance IDEs such as Visual Studio and Rider, providing customized tooling and features specifically for Windows developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the language service and experiences targeting Windows development environments.
- Productionize Windows specialized hardware for Horizon builds proof-of-concept (POC), ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Set up and configure Windows-based development environments, ensuring compatibility with Windows-specific technologies and frameworks.
- Optimize performance and tooling for Windows development workflows, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide specialized support and troubleshoot Windows development-related issues.
- Stay current with the latest Windows development technologies, tools, and best practices, and make recommendations for their adoption.
- Work closely with the development community to gather feedback, identify pain points, and propose improvements to the Windows developer infrastructure.
- Conduct research and evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance the Windows development ecosystem
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming language is a must; C# is preferred, and C++ is a plus.
- Strong experience in Windows development, with expertise in Windows-specific technologies and frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems, environments, and tooling for development purposes.
- Experience with optimizing performance and tooling for Windows development workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Windows development infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and developers.
- Ability to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the Windows development ecosystem.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality developer experiences.
- Preferred: System programming like Bash, PowerShell

We offer
The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 – $250,000 per year.
The Annual Salary depends upon various job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand. This range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
