We are seeking a talented and motivated Lab Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sunnyvale. In this role, you will be responsible for measuring and analyzing the power consumption of daily use cases on our SoCs and systems. You will provide performance, power, and thermal measurement data after post-processing with Python or other scripting languages.


  • Coordinate with firmware and software engineers to set up and configure power measurements using lab equipment and profiling tools.
  • Perform board-level power measurement of SoC devices while running various workloads.
  • Debug power measurement lab data, identify sources of measurement errors, and implement corrective actions.
  • Post-process measured data using Python or other scripting languages.
  • Provide status briefings and documentation for review.
  • Collaborate in a team environment across multiple engineering disciplines.

Grundläggande kvalifikationer

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Background in electrical, systems, or computer engineering with 5+ years of experience in board-level power measurement.
  • Experience with lab equipment for data acquisition, debug probes, and data post-processing with profiling tools.
  • Experience in power measurement for SoC silicon using benchtop equipment.
  • Proficiency in Python and other scripting languages.
  • Experience with ADB commands in Android and Linux kernel environments.
  • Familiarity with PCB schematics and layout.


  • Experience decomposing various software and system workloads to assess system resource utilization and analyze performance, power, and thermal metrics.
  • Hands-on experience with consumer electronics power management design and characterization, including power tree/power delivery networks.
  • Experience with power characterization of electrical components (e.g., processor, DSP, camera subsystem, display subsystem, sensor subsystem).
  • Working knowledge of Android and Linux Kernel Power Management frameworks.
  • Experience analyzing power vs. thermal behavior on SoCs.
  • Familiarity with mobile SoC architecture.

Vi erbjuder

The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 $250,000 per year.

The Annual Salary depends upon various job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand. This range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
