Senior Backend Developer (Python & AWS Serverless)

Assignment description

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong experience in Python and cloud-native development to join a modern development team working with scalable cloud-based backend systems.

The role involves designing, developing and maintaining backend services built on AWS serverless architecture. You will work in a cloud-native environment with event-driven architectures and collaborate closely with developers, architects, product owners and DevOps engineers to deliver reliable and high-performing solutions.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Python backend development

• Experience building scalable backend systems in cloud environments

• Solid experience working with AWS Serverless technologies, including:

  • AWS Lambda

  • AWS Step Functions

  • AWS API Gateway

• Experience working with event-driven architectures

• Hands-on experience with AWS databases and storage services

• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL

• Experience using Git for version control

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI/CD

• Understanding of modern cloud-native development practices

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience

• Fluent in English, spoken and written

Meritorious

• Experience with Angular or React

• Experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD)

• Experience building microservices in cloud environments

• Experience working with event-driven architecture patterns

• Experience from large-scale enterprise environments
