Senior Principal Electrical Engineer

Assignment description

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer (Level 5) with nationally recognized expertise to take a leading role in complex, engineering-driven projects. This is a senior technical role requiring deep competence, independence, and the ability to guide both projects and people in challenging environments.

The role focuses on Project Engineering, covering the full lifecycle from design and planning to installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and infrastructure.

Assignment Scope:

• Lead and contribute to complex electrical/electronic engineering activities across large projects

• Design and prepare technical solutions, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates

• Coordinate engineering activities including production, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning

• Monitor progress against project plans and proactively resolve technical and operational issues

• Develop engineering standards, work instructions, and technical documentation

• Select materials, equipment, suppliers, and external contractors

• Work independently with limited supervision while ensuring high technical quality

• Coach, review, and support lower-level engineers and specialists

• Act as a technical authority in matters requiring advanced judgment and national-level expertise

We’re looking for someone with:

• 10+ years of well-documented experience in Electrical / Electronic Engineering

• Nationally unique or highly specialized competence relevant to the assignment

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar

• Doctoral degree or other documented advanced credentials is highly meritorious

• Strong experience in project engineering and execution environments

• Ability to manage complex technical challenges with minimal supervision

• Strong communication and leadership capabilities

• Fluency in Swedish (mandatory) and strong professional English

Location & Work Setup:

• Sweden

• Remote work possible

• Minimum 3 days per week in the office required

• Travel to project sites is required
