SAP Data Migration Specialist

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Data Migration Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing data migration activities for SAP projects. This includes designing migration strategies, extracting, transforming, and loading data, as well as ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the migration process.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SAP data migration tools and methodologies, as well as a deep understanding of SAP modules and data structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data migration strategies and plans for SAP projects.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using SAP tools and technologies.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity during the migration process.
• Collaborate with project teams, including business analysts, functional consultants, and technical staff, to understand data requirements and business processes.
• Conduct data mapping, validation, and reconciliation to ensure successful data migration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues, providing timely solutions to project teams.
• Document data migration processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Provide training and support to end-users and project stakeholders on data migration activities.
• Stay current with SAP data migration tools, technologies, and best practices.

Preferred additional skills, personal traits and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP data migration projects.
• Proficiency in SAP data migration tools (e.g., SAP Data Services, LSMW, BODS).
• Strong knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, HCM) and data structures.
• Experience with ETL processes and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP certification in data migration or relevant modules.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA data migration.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality management principles.
• Familiarity with SQL and database management systems.
