Senior Systems Engineer/System Architect

Stockholm, Sweden Application deadline 2025-09-15

Job description

Do you have a passion for wireless communication?

Would you prefer a world where everything was connected?

Do you want to take the Internet of Things from a buzzword to reality?

You now have the chance to work at a Swedish IoT specialist with some

of the most interesting IoT and wireless projects around.

We are looking to strengthen our Systems Engineering team with a senior person that brings experience, energy and drive. You will be part of our systems engineering team where we develop complete system designs for our customer projects. Our work focuses on gathering/documenting systems requirements and the development of a system architecture that meets those requirements.

We set the system topology and functional split between system nodes (e.g., device/gate way/cloud) and we define the HW and SW architecture of the various system nodes. Our work involves wired and wireless connectivity, ACPU/MCU selection, sensors, power management, Cameras and image processing and Audio systems and more. We develop systems with edge AI as well as ML in the back end.

A typical project can be anything from a connected wearable device with sensors to large drones flying at the speed of Mach 1.

As Sigma Connectivity WSI is a design house, we work mostly with projects that are developed in-house. In other words, most of the work is undertaken in our office in Kista where you have access to labs and the full knowledge of the team. We also have access to the competence and labs in our Lund office.

Some examples of work would be:

  • Together with the customer set the System Requirements for the product/system.
  • Develop system architecture to meet those system requirements
  • Define performance requirements on AI-accelerators, CPU/DSP etc,
  • Select key components (MCU/CPU, Radio transceivers, AI-accelerator, sensors etc.
  • Define requirements for components to be selected during the development (Camera modules, microphones, Speakers, actuators etc).
  • Calculate power budget and select suitable battery capacity and technology for the application.

We are a team of system architects, continuously advancing our skills and knowledge. We learn from each other, but we also constantly educate ourselves from training, media, literature, vendors and of course from our customers. We are curious and eager to learn more about more.
