JOB OVERVIEW
Sigma Connectivity is seeking an HW/SW Technical Project Manager (TPM) with proven experience in bringing a medical device to market, running FreeRTOS, and other embedded OSs. The team is planning to use AI heavily.
Responsibilities:
As an HW/SW TPM at Sigma Connectivity, you will:
- Develop project plans, schedules, resourcing, budget, project risks, and mitigation plans to bring a B2B device to market using a CM.
- Present regular project plan and status updates to senior management to ensure expectations are met and aligned.
- Lead, improve, and develop projects and thereby create value for our customers.
- Manage technical product development projects in terms of time, quality, and cost.
- Own and drive technical projects with SMEs & cross-functional groups across sites.
- Facilitate & Execute Technical Design reviews and Engineering changes with emphasis on best engineering practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to advance quality processes and capabilities.
- Be open to AI

Basic qualifications
The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work directly with customers and manage the commercial relationship. Excellent communication skills are necessary, as clear stakeholder communication and scope management are key to the successful delivery of our projects.
We are looking for a project manager with documented experience in technical project management. Projects could be large or small and include hardware and/or software development. Your team could be anywhere from 3 to 45 engineers.
We are looking for a project manager with:
- Excellent understanding of complex technology and business solutions in a client-facing environment.
- Drive, deliver, and proactively report results according to the agreed project scope, cost, quality, and timeline milestones to all project stakeholders
- Good understanding of the steps involved in bringing a product from concept to production.
- Experience in bringing medical devices to the market
- Understand the proper application of risk management techniques to ensure business priorities and quality standards are met.
- Extended HW and/or SW development experience.
- Client relationship experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to self-motivate and take responsibility.
- Strong Technical background in project management, operations leadership, continuous improvement, and strategic planning.
- Ability to triangulate information from diverse sources and assimilate them into actionable recommendations
- Demonstrated skills in leading projects involving cross-functional teams.
- 5 years in managing projects/programs, bringing products to market.
- Working knowledge of R&D, Hardware, and Software Development from direct or project-related experiences.
- Ability to negotiate and influence cross-functionally.
- Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic work environments and constant shifting demands.
- Working knowledge of leading technical engineering projects (Engineering releases, change management, Product Development Process, Design reviews, Process controls) using standard methodologies (Six Sigma, Kanban, Hybrid, SCRUM, etc.)
- Work independently, handle multiple projects in parallel, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to solve complex problems informed by robust analysis and multiple data points
We offer
- The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 – $250,000.
- The Annual Salary depends upon various job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand. This range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
