Sales and Business Development, Engineering and Design Services
Jobbeskrivning
Sigma Connectivity is a global design house and engineering services provider. With over 700 experts and state-of-the-art labs, we help the world’s leading tech companies innovate, develop, and launch cutting-edge connected devices. From Consumer Electronics and Smart Homes to MedTech, Automotive, and Industry 4.0, we provide comprehensive hardware and software solutions from visioning, feasibility, prototyping, implementation to supporting mass production.
We are seeking a hungry, results-driven Sales and Business Development professional to cover the Central and Eastern US territory. In this remote role, you will be responsible for bringing in new clients yourself and through our collaborating with partners, and growing business in our existing clients. You will be the bridge between client challenges and our world-class engineering teams.
Who We Are Looking For
You don't need a decades-long background in one specific niche; rather, you need a proven track record of navigating complex, multi-stakeholder B2B environments. You are a "hunter" who loves finding new opportunities and a strategic "farmer" who can build long-term trust to expand existing accounts.
- You are dealmaker: Like our top performers, you excel at bringing "signal to noise." You can synthesize complex market intelligence, understand a client’s business goals, and collaborate with internal engineering, project management, and strategic partners to close deals.
- You are a collaborator that can create win-win situations: You have experience in winning business through and with partnerships. You know how to leverage partner ecosystems (semiconductor platform providers, Reps or contract manufactures) to secure introductions and align with shared goals.
- You are a trusted partner to clients: You have experience demonstration and delivering value to clients and gaining their trust as someone who can help them achieve their goals and overcome challenges. You have experience expanding business footprint in clients from a small start.
- You Speak "Tech" and "Business": While an engineering degree isn't mandatory, you must be comfortable discussing connected devices, IoT, software/hardware product lifecycles, and wireless connectivity. You can work with our capable engineers to translate technical capabilities into compelling business value propositions for C-suite executives.
- You are Autonomous and Accountable: Working remotely in the Central/East territory and collaborating with your sales and engineering colleagues in New York, California and Sweden. You are a self-starter who manages your pipeline, CRM, and weekly activities with discipline and minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development (Hunting): Continually assess the market to identify and target high-potential clients across verticals like Consumer Electronics, MedTech, Smart Industry, and Automotive. Leverage our strategic partnerships (e.g., Reps, Qualcomm, Silabs) to generate leads and collaborative sales opportunities.
- Client Engagement & Expansion (Farming): Cultivate deep relationships with existing clients. Actively uncover new technical and business challenges within their organizations and work with our engineering leaders to propose tailored, innovative solutions that ensure recurring business.
- Sales Execution: Navigate the competitive landscape, negotiate complex service agreements and pricing, and close contracts. You will own the full sales cycle from initial discovery to successful deal closure.
- Team Collaboration: Act as the "voice of the customer" within Sigma Connectivity. Collaborate effectively with colleagues. Ensure our engineering and delivery teams are fully aligned with customer expectations, timelines, and shifting requirements.
Grundläggande kvalifikationer

- Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to facilitate teamwork across geographically dispersed and highly technical teams.
