JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Hands-on Wireless Software Lead to lead the development, integration, and deployment of next-generation Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) technologies for automotive platforms. The successful candidate will be a great communicator with the client in the Bay Area and our own team in Lund, Sweden. You will own the end-to-end software delivery of C-V2X functionality, including vehicle integration, connectivity middleware, security provisioning, ADAS interfaces, cloud/backend integration, validation, and production launch.

This role combines deep expertise in wireless communications, embedded software, and automotive systems, as well as technical leadership. The candidate will work closely with various teams to deliver production-ready connected vehicle solutions

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hands-on leadership and development in implementing C-V2X software solutions for connected and software-defined vehicles.
• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of embedded, middleware, integration, and test engineers.
• Serve as the primary technical interface with the customer.
• Actively participate in software development and Integration
• Develop middleware enabling communication between vehicle ECUs and C-V2X modules.
• Integrate Qualcomm or equivalent V2X SDKs and APIs into the vehicle platform.
• Ensure Security, Backend Integration, and OTA Updates

• Integrate with cloud and backend services supporting V2X ecosystems.
• Ensure compliance with automotive cybersecurity requirements and standards. ​​
• System Validation & Compliance

Grundläggande kvalifikationer

Required Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of embedded software development experience.
• 3+ years leading technical teams in wireless connectivity or automotive software domains.
• Great communication skills with the client teams and the Sigma Team in Lund, Sweden.
• Strong expertise in:
  • C/C++
  • Embedded Linux
  • RTOS (QNX, Zephyr, FreeRTOS, AUTOSAR)
  • Multithreaded software development
• Hands-on experience with:
  • C-V2X
  • 3GPP cellular technologies
  • LTE and 5G NR
  • Vehicle networking protocols
• Strong understanding of:
  • TCP/IP
  • UDP
  • QoS
  • Routing
  • Network diagnostics
• Experience integrating third-party wireless chipsets and SDKs.
• Excellent debugging and system-level problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with:
• Qualcomm platforms
• C-V2X chipsets
• Android Automotive OS
• AUTOSAR Adaptive
• Participation in V2X field trials, connected vehicle deployments, or autonomous driving programs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and connected vehicle services.

Vi erbjuder

• The annual salary range for this role is $160,000 – $190,000.
• The Annual Salary depends upon various job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand. This range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
