Our customer from insurance sector in Germany seach for a Cobol developer.

Responsibilities:

• COBOL development as part of a project to implement the third-party software Fiantec in the non-life insurance sector for the management of commission payments and intermediary accounts
• Implementations primarily in the area of commission management, as well as on a case-by-case basis in the area of partner databases

Qualifications:

• Expert experience is required in
  • Legacy systems (IBM mainframe)
  • Programming: COBOL
  • Database: DB2, SQL
  • Job Control: JCL
  • User Interface/System Tools: TSO (Time Sharing Option) and MVS (Multiple Virtual Storage)
  • MS Office
• Experience with the following would be an advantage:
  • Transaction Monitor: CICS
  • Development Environment: RTC (IBM Rational Team Concert)
  • Job control: Automic
  • Project experience in the insurance sector

Start: asap

End: 30 April 2027

Workload: full-time

Location: remote and occainsionally onsite (approximately 20 km outside Frankfurt)

The on-site assignments can certainly be negotiated. More importantly, the candidate must be able to speak German.
