Senior Piping Process Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Piping Process Engineer for a 7-month assignment with potential extension, starting preferably already at the end of August 2026. The engineer will collaborate on multiple projects involving piping design, installation, and commissioning activities. Responsibilities include managing piping documentation, supporting installation and testing activities, participating in technical reviews and coordination meetings, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and compliance with relevant engineering norms and standards.

• Manage and control piping documentation ensuring accuracy from QC documentation to engineering asset management systems
• Participate in coordination and integration meetings and produce reports on activity status
• Ensure installation documentation meets process and functional requirements
• Support preparation of testing protocols, verification procedures, and related technical documentation
• Assist installation activities by clarifying technical questions and resolving design-related issues
• Participate in technical and design reviews, and coordination meetings with project teams
• Support troubleshooting and technical investigations related to electrical systems and equipment
• Assist with configuration management and document updates in relevant engineering tools and systems
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for proper integration of systems
• Collect, clarify, and document technical requirements from stakeholders and systems
• Assist with drafting activities, including preparation, review, and completion of as-built documentation

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in piping and/or process design
• Experience managing complete piping projects through all phases and interfaces
• Strong knowledge of piping systems and documentation
• Experience in collaboration between detail design and installation/manufacturing
• Understanding of quality control and final documentation processes
• Good knowledge of applicable norms and standards for process and mechanical engineering, specifically PED
• Experience with Nuclear piping or Oil & Gas design work

Preferred additional skills, personal traits, experience:

• Knowledge of PED, EN 13445, EN 13480 standards
• Experience with installation and commissioning activities
• Familiarity with configuration management and engineering tools/systems
• Ability to prepare testing protocols and verification procedures
• Experience in troubleshooting and technical investigations related to electrical systems and equipment
• Ability to support project management and coordinate with other engineering disciplines

The assignment offers an international work environment where the work will be performed at the customer location on site in Lund.
