Senior Electrical Engineer – Västerås (100% On-Site) Assignment

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer for a shorter on-site assignment based in Västerås. The consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing complex electrical systems and projects, with a strong focus on relay protection, RTU systems, and electrical cabinet design.

The role requires close collaboration with customers, internal engineering teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and high-quality technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities from concept through commissioning.
• Develop, review, and update electrical schematics, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Design and maintain documentation related to RTUs, relay protection systems, and electrical cabinets.
• Support configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, industry standards, and quality requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Review engineering documentation and support continuous improvements.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, suppliers, sales teams, and internal engineering resources.
• Report project status, technical risks, and progress to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Several years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering projects.
• Strong experience with relay protection systems, configuration, and RTU solutions.
• Proficiency in Elmaster and E3/CAD.
• Solid understanding of power system design and relevant industry standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC).
• Fluent in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
